For businesses, the economics of the situation drive the need for adaptation and integration of Spanish into advertising, plans and consumer outreach. To ignore the portion of the market that is more comfortable with the Spanish language than with English is to ignore a lot of potential growth. Emergencies do not discriminate based on language, and the protective civil services have learned that communication is the key to protection.
The rising influence of the Spanish language will continue, especially in the United States. As the population shifts and the Spanish-speaking minority continues to grow, so too will the need for people who understand the Spanish language.
